Thread Type: Suitable for Different Workpiece Materials and Connection Methods
1. Coarse Thread: Features a large pitch and fast thread insertion, making it suitable for soft materials like wood and plastic (easy to tap and less prone to thread slippage).
2. Fine Thread: Features a small pitch and a large number of threads, offering excellent sealing and strong resistance to loosening, making it suitable for hard materials like metals and alloys (such as mechanical parts and pipe connections).
3. Self-Tapping Thread: Features a sharp thread tip, eliminating the need for pre-threaded holes and allowing direct threading into the workpiece. It is commonly used for gypsum board, thin metal sheets, and plastic parts (such as baseboards and electrical brackets during renovations).
Features:
Corrosion resistance: This is the key difference between stainless steel screws and carbon steel screws. The chromium element in stainless steel forms a "passivation film" (a dense Cr₂O₃ oxide film) on the surface, preventing oxygen, moisture, and acids and alkalis from coming into contact with the metal, thus preventing rust (carbon steel screws are prone to red rust due to oxidation). This makes stainless steel screws particularly suitable for humid, acidic, and alkaline environments (such as kitchens, bathrooms, outdoor areas, and chemical environments).
